Two versions are included. One version is aligned with the Australian Curriculum v8.4 and the other version is aligned with the Australian Curriculum v9.0.  This provides for all schools as they change over to the new curriculum at different times.
 
These Maths tests, for year one students, are linked to the Australian Curriculum. They cover Number & Algebra, Measurement & Geometry and Statistics & Probability. This package includes three assessments that will help to provide data that can be used to inform judgements of student achievement at certain times of the school year. It is recommended that they are administered at the following times:
 
Assessment A - beginning of the school year - based on Australian Curriculum Maths Foundation Year Content Descriptions. It is designed to assess the attainment of Foundation Year content.
Assessment B - end of Semester 1 - based on Australian Curriculum Maths Year One Content Descriptions.
Assessment C - end of Semester 2 - based on Australian Curriculum Maths Year One Content Descriptions.
 
Also included in the package are answers and an Excel spreadsheet to record results. The spreadsheet will automatically provide total scores for each strand and a grand total, with a percentage, for each assessment. This gives an excellent overview of the students’ results and can be used to help you, the teacher, identify strengths and weaknesses, both for individuals and whole class – very helpful for ongoing planning.
