These mystery picture puzzles, or secret picture tiles, offer a captivating and unique approach to practising double digit addition and subtraction problems, both with and without regrouping.
 
With no need for prior preparation, simply duplicate and distribute the puzzles. Students will then cut out picture fragments and affix the answers onto their corresponding question spaces. As each addition or subtraction equation finds its matching answer, the response is glued to the question grid, gradually unveiling an image. Upon solving all equations, the complete picture comes into view—an excellent incentive for their hard work!
 
Ideal for using in small groups or for individual use in math centres, rotations, and even homework assignments. Various difficulty levels are included to accommodate class variations or to be utilised later in the academic year. Answer keys are provided for convenience.
